Styles, trends, and fashions seem to be everchanging. It seems impossible to keep up with ‘whats in’. According to Sylvie, a ring designer that we carry at Bay Area Diamond Company (& totally love!) the following are predicted to be the hot trends in 2023.
Minimalism – The first trend Sylvie highlighted is a minimalistic look. Solitaire engagement rings, or rings with a single center stone, are super popular right now. This look allows the brilliant center stone to be accentuated as the (obvious) focal point of the ring. The primary focus of minimalistic rings remains on the high-quality of the material the ring is made with, and the showstopping center diamond.
Curved Bands– Curved wedding bands are becoming increasingly popular. A curved band is made to curve around the contour of an engagement ring. This will create a seamless match that sits flush together. There are many styles/options of curved bands to choose from that will complement your engagement ring perfectly.
Yellow Gold – The next trend Sylvie mentioned as being popular this year is yellow gold. Yellow Gold is often associated with the retro style of the '80s and '90s, and like all great retro styles, is making its comeback. Yellow Gold is flattering on a wide range of skin tones. Another bonus, yellow gold is easy to resize if necessary.
